This popular festival kicks off the festive calendar, featuring the traditional blessing of animals, a pilgrimage up to the Ermita de Sant Antoni, mass, the ringing of bells, and a communal open-air lunch.

Holy Week

Mid-October. Popular festival of the Carbonaire neighborhood, with procession, fireworks and the traditional street decoration contest.

Sant Roc

Late October. Highlights include the pilgrimage to the Hermitage of San Roque, with the distribution of canes, a brass band, a communal lunch, mistela (sweet wine) and rotllets (small, round pastries).

Fallas of Sant Josep

With the arrival of spring, La Vall d’Uixó comes alive to celebrate the Fallas de Sant Josep, a celebration officially designated as a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest. The city is filled with spectacular Fallas monuments, firework displays, music, and lively community events until the night of March 19th, when the traditional cremà brings the Fallas week to a spectacular close.

The local Fallas tradition dates back to the 1980s with the founding of the Pensat i Fet Fallas committee, which originated in Plaza Buenavista. Over the years, it was joined by other neighborhood committees, including Falla l’Ambient, La que Faltava, Les Llimeres, Sud-Oest, Corts Valencianes – Polígon III, Guitarrista Tárrega, and 9 d’Octubre.

Patron Saint Festivities of Saint Vincent Ferrer

Festivities of San Vicente

The Patron Saint Festivities of Sant Vicent Ferrer, officially designated as a Festival of National Tourist Interest, trace their origins back to the deep-rooted devotion to the Valencian saint. Historical documents dating back to 1725 attest to the long-standing history of these celebrations.

Over approximately two weeks, La Vall d’Uixó hosts a rich variety of religious, cultural, musical, and pyrotechnic events. Key highlights include the traditional flower offering to the Virgin of the Assumption, traditional morning serenades, solemn processions in honor of Sant Vicent Ferrer, thunderous mascletà firework displays, and the manual tolling of the bells.

San Vicente Fair

The Sant Vicent Fair is a leading agricultural and commercial showcase in the province. It brings together numerous exhibitors showcasing agricultural equipment, footwear, clothing, local food products, and leisure activities, among other sectors.


Feast of the Sagrada Família i el Santíssim Crist

The Patron Saint Festivities of the Sagrada Família and the Santíssim Crist are centuries-old celebrations, officially designated as a Festival of National Tourist Interest. Although their main events center around the Sant Àngel de la Guarda Parish, the celebration is deeply intertwined with the Ermita de la Sagrada Família, located in the Sant Josep area.

One of the most significant highlights is the traditional Monday pilgrimage, which begins with the tolling of bells and the distribution of pilgrim canes in the Sant Àngel de la Guarda Church square, concluding with a solemn pontifical mass at the Ermita de la Sagrada Família.

Les Penyes en Festes

Date: First week of August
Throughout the week, the city is swept up in a vibrant festive atmosphere filled with colorful festive smocks, gunpowder displays, water festivities, parades, lively brass bands, gastronomic competitions, communal dinners, concerts, outdoor DJ sets, and spectacular firework shows.

Holy Week

Date: March / April
These Holy Week processions bring together religious brotherhoods, marching bands, locals, and visitors in an atmosphere defined by the solemn echo of drums and trumpets, the scent of incense, and the artistic grandeur of the sacred processional floats.

Sant Antoni Abat

Date: January and mid-May
The festivities kick off in January with the blessing of animals, a traditional bonfire, a local pilgrimage, solemn religious ceremonies, and communal open-air lunches. In mid-May, celebrations dedicated to the saint return, featuring traditional street bull runs, lively open-air dances, local gastronomy, and the iconic Taurine Pasodoble Music Festival.

Verge del Pilar

Date: October 12
Known as the Festes de la Pilarica, the highlights of these festivities include the traditional flower offering, a solemn procession, paella and empedrao culinary competitions, communal bull stew dinners, the traditional guiñote card tournament, the iconic xulles night (open-air lamb chop barbecues), and a variety of children’s activities.

Santíssim Crist del Calvari

Date: Mid-October
The Carbonaire neighborhood festivities feature a grand procession, a spectacular fireworks display, and the traditional street decoration contest, a beloved community tradition that keeps collaboration between generations alive.
