Via Ferrata Sants de la Pedra
Description
The Via Ferrata Sants de la Pedra is located in the rocky massif of Penyalba, an emblematic spot in La Vall d’Uixó, at the top of which sits a small chapel dedicated to Sant Abdó and Sant Senén. These saints are known in popular tradition as Els Sants de la Pedra, as they are considered protectors against the crop-ruining hailstorms that typically form in this direction.
Installed on a rock face in the area known as Cingles de Tido, the new via ferrata is situated on a hillside above the Barranc de l’Aigualit, offering unparalleled views of the surroundings. It features significant horizontal sections and is equipped with various aerial elements, such as a cable bridge, a Tibetan bridge, a pendulum, and the so-called Pas de l’Ocellet, featuring three trapezes hanging from a rock overhang.

How to get there
The route can be accessed by vehicle via the track known as Camí de Penyalba, which is reached from Carrer 12 in the Barri Carbonaire, located in the town. Although there is a small parking area, it is highly recommended to take as few vehicles as possible, as there are narrow sections on the track where two cars cannot pass each other. Once at the designated parking area, a three-minute approach trail leads to the start of the Via Ferrata Sants de la Pedra.
